The annual ‘Brits at the Village’ show organized by the ‘Phila MG Club’ was a rain or shine event. The Saturday, October 7, 2023, morning weather forecast was not too optimistic and overcast overshadowed the region… grey and stormy, like England! We believe the main reason why many show prospects decided to keep their classic treasures in the garage. Not so for a handful DVJC members.., their Cats were started up early and they came out to Peddler’s Village PA from all directions. From all the Jaguars on site, I counted only DVJC members, pure thoroughbreds! With some hot coffee, good cigars and great chats with some fellow British car pioneers – like MG, Triumph, Healey’s, Mini and Midgets, even a Morgen-, we were able to resist the challenging Autumn weather conditions. Unfortunately there were only 2 top prizes in our Jag class, first and second, we got them all ! If it would have been more, we would have taken all home…
