Delaware Valley Jaguar Club Events
There is no better way to enjoy your Jaguar or fuel your Jaguar enthusiasm than to participate in Delaware Valley Jaguar Club (DVJC) events. DVJC has wide variety of social and driving events throughout the year. Many of these events are open to non-members. They are a great way to “test drive” our club.
In normal times, social events start with our annual DVJC Holiday Party in January and continue monthly with our DVJC Breakfast Socials held at a local restaurant. The Breakfast Social is a great way to get to know other members in an informal setting. Most members drive their Jaguars to the event and spend some time admiring each other’s cars with a bit of “car talk”. The monthly Breakfast Social is open to non-members, so it is a great way to check out our club. You will find us very welcoming. Several times during the year we have “Jaguar Gathering of Friends” events. These are informal afternoon parties, usually hosted at a member’s home; sometimes preceded with a guided scenic drive. Partnering with the Kennett Symphony, DVJC has an annual Rally/Dinner/Concert event that includes a concert under the stars at Longwood Gardens.
Driving events throughout the year include several guided scenic drives that generally conclude at a restaurant for lunch. The scenic drives are open to non-members so, again, a great way to “test drive” our club. Our driving events also include several Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) sanctioned events. We participate in two JCNA sanctioned Rally events held in the spring and fall. These are three day “Time & Distance” rallies. Rally teams compete for national standings within all of JCNA. Additionally DVJC is one of several JCNA clubs across North America that host a JCNA sanctioned Slalom event. The slalom is a solo “mini track” driving experience on a closed course. Drivers compete against the clock. Times are submitted to JCNA for standing in the JCNA North America Slalom Championship in various classes.
The DVJC showcase event is the DVJC Concours d’Elegance held in early June. The DVJC Concours d’Elegance is an event where Jaguars are displayed and judged according to a standard set by JCNA. The overall standard is “The Entry’s configuration and condition shall be as it was officially documented or intended to have left the factory.” Your car may also be entered as “display” which is not judged while providing an opportunity for the public to view and appreciate your automobile.
More detailed information about each event can be found in the event listing.
