The President’s Award, established by Charlie Olson in 2010, is given on a discretionary basis to recognize members for their participation in Delaware Valley Jaguar Club and Jaguar Clubs of North America events and their contributions to the betterment of DVJC through volunteer and leadership roles.
In 2017, to honor the memory of Kurt Rappold and his love for and dedication to DVJC, the award was renamed the Kurt Rappold President’s Award.

2016 | Charles Olson | In appreciation for his long service to the club including at least a decade in leadership roles. Additionally, he was the prime mover for the club to host the 2015 JCNA Annual General Meeting. It was a success and a great by-product was the number of club members who became active as a result of participation in the AGM. |
2017 | Michael Tate | Mike served DVJC in many ways including a variety of leadership roles, Holiday Party organizer and emcee and the widely acclaimed Roving Reporter who was the recipient of several JCNA Awards for his writing. As a native of England and lifelong Jaguar enthusiast, he brought the heritage of Jaguar cars to life. |
2018 | William Beible | In recognition of his active participation in club events and for a variety of leadership roles including Treasurer, AGM Delegate, Coventry Foundation Liaison, JCNA Regional Director and DVJC President. Bill was also the driving force behind development of the DVJC website. |
2019 | Brian Craig | A DVJC member since 2003, he willingly volunteers for ongoing roles essential to our club’s effectiveness including Jaguar’s Purr editor, photography, “Email central,” DVJC website development team, website administration and maintenance, Concours administration, JCNA website interface and membership database management. |
2020 | Paul Merluzzi | Paul has been a member since 2002 and served as president from 2015 through 2018. He is responsible for increasing the social aspect of our club and was instrumental in the success of the 2016 JCNA AGM. Paul continues to serve the club attending all executuve board meetings, providing valuable guidance and insight, and proof reading the club's monthly newsletter. |
2021 | Paul Trout | Paul Trout is probably known by most members as the author of the monthly Purr feature “Speaking of Things Jaguar.” Development of the content of these articles requires extensive research and a considerable time commitment each month. Several of these articles have been featured in the Jaguar Journal and have twice won JCNA North American award recognition. A member for nine years, Paul fulfills a variety of roles throughout the year. In addition to his service as vice president, he is a Concours judge, organizes the Holiday Party and Spring Fling, leads the Calendar committee and willingly volunteers wherever his help is needed. |
2021 | Jim Sjoreen | Jim Sjoreen initially joined the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club in March of 2001 and is now into his 22nd year of membership. In fact, only eighteen people have a longer history with our club. Following many years of service as a Concours judge, Jim stepped forward to become Concours chairman in 2018. As our chairman and as a member of the Cars and Motorcycles of England committee, he has played a key role successfully moving the show from Oakbourne Mansion to Hope Lodge, the consistent growth of the show and made major improvements to the conduct of our DVJC Concours d’Elegance. Additionally, Jim is concurrently serving his fourth year as club treasurer and, in the past, has also handled club merchandise. |
2022 | Charles "Chuck" Kitson | Chuck Kitson demonstrates his love for and dedication to our club through his active participation. He is involved in nearly every DVJC event held throughout the year, most of the time accompanied by his wife, Charline. His enthusiasm contributes to the “good vibrations” experienced at our activities. He naturally makes guests and new members feel welcome and comfortable. Chuck is a willing and enthusiastic volunteer. Wherever and whenever there’s a need, he’s anxious to dig in and get the job done |
2023 | Mike Wolf | Since joining our club in October 1986, Mike Wolf has been an active and engaged member. He has been serving as a director on the executive committee since first elected in 2012, a total of twelve years thus far. Mike unselfishly shares his nearly endless knowledge of Jaguars, particularly E-Types and doesn’t hesitate to “get his hands dirty,” literally or figuratively, when people need help. |
