Join your DVJC friends and immerse yourself in the Christmas season with a one-of-a-kind visit to Winterthur and delicious dinner at Redfire Grille.
Our day will begin with a 30″ narrated tram tour of the grounds and gardens on the way from the visitor center to the mansion. The Yuletide tour at Winterthur showcases rooms in Henry Francis du Pont’s former home decorated in full holiday splendor, including specialty decorated trees that celebrate the garden, and du Pont family traditions. The displays are inspired by the traditions and festivities of the season as enjoyed by H. F. du Pont and his family.
In addition to the leisurely tour of the mansion, there is time to visit the gallery,gift shop and, for those interested, view two 1927 Rolls Royce automobiles not publicly displayed. At the conclusion of our visit to Winterthur, depart for the 25 minute drive to dinner at the Redfire Grille in Hockessin.

Dinner menu includes:
- Soup or salad
- Choice of entree: Pork Chop, Mojo Salmon or Crab Cakes
- Choice of dessert: Housemade Cheesecake or Brownie
- Coffee/Tea
Ticket price = $90/person – includes Winterthur admission and dinner.

Schedule:

1:30 – 2:00 Assemble at Visitors Center

2:00 – 2:30 Tram tour through gardens and grounds to mansion. (Weather permitting. Otherwise, travel to mansion by shuttle.)

2:30 – 5:00 Self-directed tour through mansion, gallery, gift shop; view 1927 Rolls Royce automobiles.

5:00 – Return to personal cars via shuttle.

5:30 – Depart Winterthur for Redfire Grille

6:00 – Cocktails and dinner.
