Please join us for a new (experimental) activity – a WEEKDAY drive and lunch. This will be the first drive of 2026. It celebrates the 65th anniversary of the unveiling of the E-Type, in Geneva, on March 15, 1961.
Historically, ALL of our Club activities take place on weekends and our calendars get pretty crowded. Many of our members are either retired OR have the ability to ‘play hooky’ – with enough advance notice. Therefore, we are going to experiment with a weekday drive on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 (with a rain date of Thursday, March 12th.) Because it is very early in the season and the winter weather has been WORSE THAN USUAL, non-Jaguar cars are welcome. So…none of the normal excuses will apply!
The 1-hour (25 mile) scenic drive will start from the Desmond Hotel, in Malvern, PA and circle around the Valley Forge Battlefield area. We will end at “The Grove” across from the starting point where there are at least 4 restaurants (including the Sly Fox Brewery) that do not require advance reservations. This SAME tour was very successful 15 years ago, on June 5, 2011, when we gathered at the Desmond to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type (1961-2011.)

On 15 March 1961, the Gunmetal Grey Jaguar E-type fixed-head coupe, registered 9600 HP, was unveiled to the press at the Parc des Eaux Vives in Geneva, Switzerland.
