Plans are to begin the day at Hank’s Place in Chadds Ford where original Wyeth artwork is on display. The menu includes breakfast, brunch and lunch selections.  Inside seating is available for up to twenty DVJC members on a “first come, first served” basis. Outside seating is available for “overflow” or all of us, if preferred.

From Hank’s Place, we will travel thirty minutes on U.S. 1 to the New Garden Airport.  Our cars will be parked as a group within a car show featuring about 150 cars.

Your Jaguar can be a special part of the car show!  The car show includes classic cars, hot rods and modern cars.  Show cars will be grouped together by type.  DVJC will pay the $20 admission cost for members displaying their Jaguars in the show.   Any DVJC Member or guest not driving a Jaguar for entry in the Car Show must park in the general admission area of the airfield.  Tickets for admission are per person and may be purchased online at https://www.ticketsignup.io/TicketEvent/FestivalOfFlightf   There are discounted rates for adults, seniors or veterans and students.  Advanced ticket prices range from $16.15 to $31.58.  Of course, members and guests may park their regular car in the general parking area and hitch a ride into the classic car show area with a fellow member where their admission is free. 

 

11:00 to 11:30 – Arrive and park along the south side of the building at Hank’s Place.  (Ed Petrow will be on-site to assist.)

11:30 to 1:00 – Breakfast/brunch/lunch.  (You may pay individual checks using cash or credit card.)

1:00 to 1:30 – Travel “en masse” via U.S. 1 South, enter the airfield to reserved parking.  Airport address:  1235 Newark Road, Toughkenamon, PA 19374.

2:00 to 10:00 – Enjoy the show! There is a lot to see on the ground and a wide array of vintage aircraft performing precision flying maneuvers, larger vintage planes doing aerobatics and scale model radio- controlled planes that will dazzle you with their performances.  There are numerous evening events including a spectacular lighted drone display involving orchestrated and choreographed flights of many individual drones.  People’s Choice awards for show cars will be made between 5 and 6 PM following a break to set up for the evening events.  Everyone is welcome to stay until 10 PM and to enjoy the evening festivities and special flights.

Food vendors are present throughout the day.  There are restrooms at the airport.

Registration is open.  Last day to register is Sunday August 2.
