JUDGES TRAINING 2026
Dear fellow DVJC members,
This letter is an invitation to Concours judge’s training, in preparation for our Concours on Saturday June 6th 2026.
All current and former judges as well as any member or co-member interested in becoming a judge are welcome.
Judges must attend at least one of the training/testing sessions.
Workshops: Hands-on judging of member cars followed by a review of each team’s scores. This is the perfect opportunity for club members new to judging to see how the scoring process works. Each session will begin at 9:00am and run until noon.
April 18th at Tony Tinari’s – Judging Workshop.
The purpose is to expose new judges to the scoring process and provide all judges with the opportunity to review and discuss how imperfections should be evaluated and scored, including the proper methods for recording deductions. At this meeting we will discuss the following:-
- Score sheets
- Fit of body panels
- Nicks, dents, scratched and how they score
- Deductions for non-authentic items
- Interaction with the entrant
- Team leader responsibilities
- Judges procedure when judging
What I need to know.
- Your confirmation of commitment to judge.
- The model of Jaguar you would like to judge.
- Which if any car/s you will be entering.
- Which of the Judging venues you will attend.
