The ABRR-PA 2019 Charity
The ABRR is a great way to spend a weekend driving beautiful roads in your British car with fellow British car nuts, but it is fundamentally a fundraising effort for a charity that benefits children. Each year we choose a different charity. In 2019 the ABRR PA run is raising money for the burn care program at Shriners Hospitals for Children:
“The Shriners Hospitals for Children locations that specialize in burn injuries have been leaders in burn care, research and education since opening in the mid-1960s. Thanks to the cutting-edge medical care provided at these hospitals, thousands of children have a greater chance of surviving from all types of burn injuries .every year.
The Shriners Hospitals specializing in burn care provide critical, surgical and rehabilitative care to children with varying degrees of new and healed burns. Each state-of-the-art hospital is staffed and equipped to provide reconstructive and restorative surgery for healed burns, as well as treatments for various other skin conditions. Three of our four locations that provide burn care also treat cleft lip and palate.”
The 2019 Route
In 2019 we will cover fewer miles but pack in more fun!
The 2019 route will total about 500 miles and 14 hours of driving but we will see some beautiful scenery and sites along the way. We will be stopping a New Jersey Motorsports Park, take the Cape May – Lewes Ferry across Delaware Bay, and visit the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and a private classic car collection, all while raising significant funds for a worthy charity!
