On a brisk Saturday morning, March 22nd, 2025, sixteen (16) DVJC members gathered at Leo Kob’s home to practice their judging skills for the DVJC Annual Concours d’Elegance. Three cars were present for practice judging – an E-Type, an XK and an XJL. Attendees were divided into teams and conducted the OV evaluation and then proceeded to complete score sheets. Once completed everyone convened to Leo’s garage to compare results. Leo was gracious enough to provide the venue and lunch. It was a successful workshop. March 16th, 2025, was a bit dreary but the spirits among 29 members and guests of the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club were bright. The group gathered for an excellent brunch at the Fox & Hound Restaurant inside The Desmond. On Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, DVJC members traveled to K & T Vintage Sports Cars in Bethlehem, PA. There DVJC member Ken Beck informed the attendees about the proper application and maintenance of automotive fluids. Following the session those in attendance enjoyed lunch and discussions about their favorite subject – Jaguars. Following a January postponement due to weather the DVJC Holiday Party was held on February 16, 2025, at the William Penn Inn. The weather outside was damp and cool but the atmosphere inside was warm and cordial. Attendees had a chance to enjoy good company and good food. The highlights of the event included introduction of a new DVJC logo (attendees were rewarded with a key fob with the new logo) and the presentation of the Kurt Rappold President’s Award to Tony Tinari. On December 14th, 2024, thirty-three DVJC members spent a crisp, beautiful late autumn day at Winterthur, the estate of Henry F. DuPont. We toured the mansion which is beautifully decorated for Christmas and many visited the adjacent gallery. We were also treated to a private showing of two 1927 Rolls Royce automobiles.
