DVJC Weekday Drive March 2026

BrianC · Mar 11, 2026 ·

On a sunny and unseasonably warm Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, 15 members and one guest of the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club gathered at the Desmond Hotel for the Club’s FIRST weekday drive. Mike Wolf and Leo Kob led 11 cars (including 9 Jaguars) along the scenic roads around and through Valley Forge Park. The 24 mile route took about one hour and included one covered bridge, numerous Chester County “bank” barns, an Octagonal school house from 1818, as well as the statues and memorials in the 3,500 acre Valley Forge National Historic Park. The tour ended at the Sly Fox Brewery, at “The Grove,” in Malvern for an outdoor lunch. Thanks to Mike Wolf and Bill Beible for the photos DVJC Weekday Drive March 2026 ‹ › × × Previous Next (more…)

DVJC Detailing with Tim

BrianC · Feb 8, 2026 ·

On February 7th, 2026, about 20 hearty DVJC members, new and old, braved the frigid and blustery cold weather to join an equal number of local car club members at the CarVault in Berwyn to learn more about the world of competitive detailing. A true master of his unique craft, Tim McNair, who owns and operates Grand Prix Concours, taught us about the extreme environment and unique challenges of competitive detailing. Tim shared his experience gained from over 40 years of master detailing (and “anti-detailing”) cars entered and judged at most of the prestigious concourses around the word. Although most of us do not have classic cars prepared to Pebble Beach or Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance standards, Tim explained the techniques and products he uses to achieve the extraordinary results needed to win. He was able to explain how these same products and techniques are equally effective on our special cars ranging from classic and restored examples used only for special occasions to newer classics used as daily drivers. Tim is a truly excellent and engaging speaker with huge repertoire of interesting stories collected over his extraordinary career working with the owners and restorations experts of these rare and often unique classic cars. He shared hours of photos of many of the cars he has detailed while he explained how to correct a number of common issues ranging in complexity from cleaning wire wheels to removing discoloration from chrome surfaces to how to achieve stellar results on old instruments without (more…)
