It is followed by a “Figure 8” lap after which the r un concludes with an oval lap into the stopping area. \; The whole of the course is 170 feet long by 80 feet wide – so you do not need overnig ht accommodations. \; Typical times to complete a run are between 40 a nd 55 seconds. \; Although you will feel like you are blazing along at Mach1\, peak speeds are usually less than 30mph.\n\nSafety is the first c onsideration: \;\n\n The course is set up in a paved parking lot with no obstructions or hazards anywhere nearby. \;\n All cars must pass a technical inspection before the event begins.\n Participants are requir ed to wear helmets that meet rated Snell 95 or newer\, i.e. SA or M rated are acceptable. \; For those who don’t own a helmet\, DVJC will have helmet socks available to use a “loaner” helmet along with sanitation wipes for cleaning helmets between users.\n\n \;\nThe first and\, pos sibly\, most important part of the day is coffee and donuts! \; Then …..\nEntrants take turns until they each complete five runs. \; The best time of the five is used as the final score for each driver.  \;C ompetition is organized within sixteen different classes of Jaguars so sim ilarly equipped and powered cars are competing with each other. \; For example\, all XKs (1949 – 1961) are in one class\, 1987 -2020 sedans ar e in a separate class and F-Types are in another. \; In addition to cl asses that include every year and model of Jaguar\, there is a separate cl ass for all non-Jaguar powered cars. \; JCNA member scores are posted on the JCNA website and compared with times from clubs across North Americ a to determine annual standings.\n\nOnce the final results are determined\ , people pitch in to quickly dismantle the course and put away the equipme nt ….. and then head to McKenzie’s Brew Pub for well deserved “refre shments and lunch.”\n\n \;\nPre-Register by July 9\, 2021\n\n\n $10 DVJC Members and Members of other JCNA clubs\n DVT Members - $30 total c ost\n\n $10 registration\n Plus $20 event insurance coverage -Submit Non -Member Registration &\; Insurance Form with payment along with registr ation. \; Bring the completed form with you to the Slalom.\n\n\n Day of Slalom Registration - $10 surcharge\n\n \;\n\nGeneral liability ins urance coverage under JCNA master policy.\nRegister and Pay Online Using t he Form Below\nRelease Of Liability \;\n\nJCNA Event Participation: It is an Entrant’s privilege to participate in any JCNA sanctioned event h eld by any affiliated JCNA group upon executing proper registration forms and paying published entrance fees.
